This policy covers the Shopping List app for Android and iOS (app ID dk.simonhl.shoppinglist), published by Simon Larsen (“we”).

The short version

Shopping List does not collect, store, share or sell any personal data. The app has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and it works without an internet connection. Everything you enter stays on your device.

What the app stores, and where

The app stores the lists you make and the items on them, with any amounts, units and notes you add. This data is saved only on your device, in the app’s own storage. We never receive it, and the app does not send it anywhere.

When you paste recipe text into the import screen, the app reads it on your device to find the items. The text is not sent anywhere and is not kept after you leave the screen; only the items you confirm are saved to your list.

If you delete the app, its data is deleted from your device with it.

Data we collect

None. We do not collect personal data, usage data, crash reports, device identifiers, location or contacts. The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking code.

Sharing a list

The app has a Share button that hands a list to your phone’s share sheet as plain text. You choose where it goes (for example a messaging app or email), and from then on that app’s own privacy terms apply. Nothing is shared unless you do this yourself.

Device backups

Your phone’s own backup service may include the app’s data in a backup of your device: Google’s Android backup on Android, and iCloud or computer backups on iPhone. These backups are made, stored and protected by Google or Apple under your device and account settings. We have no access to them. You can turn them off in your phone’s settings.

Permissions

The app keeps the screen on while shop mode is open. It asks for no other permissions: no internet access, location, camera, contacts or microphone.

Children

The app is not aimed at children, and because it collects no data at all, it collects none from children either.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever starts handling data differently, we will update this policy and the date above before that version is released.
